Frozen Defense

Icicles As Heath and I cruised across the Kansas we were amazed by the beautiful icicles that adorned the barbed-wire fences alongside the highway. It sparkled for miles, like tinsel. Of course, I pulled the car over and tromped through drifts of snow to attempt to capture the beauty.

The Holidays were spent in CO where I did nothing but sleep and eat. Nothing like a much needed vacation. Oh...and I went snowboarding on the "Wildflower" - my affectionate name for my new outdoor snow toy. It was beautiful weather!

Creating a Christmas Wish List

Gone are the days of getting out the crayola crayons, Christmas stationery and Santa stickers, and using my best cursive writing to create a bullet list to Santa. No longer do I ask him for a 12-piece tea set, a cabbage patch doll or a new pink huffy bike, hoping that the plate of warm cookies and cold milk will sway him.

Now days, my list is so “21st century.” This year, I’ve gone with the “interactive” approach and plan to email my list to Santa. Try it! You may like it! Here are some of my techniques:

1) Cut and paste a picture from the internet of a picture similar or exactly as you want.

2) Hyperlink to the exact website where the item can be purchased. (i.e. iTunes Gift Certificate, New York & Company Gift Card)

3) Provide Saavy options by linking to a page that has a list of comparative prices. (i.e. iLUV iPod alarm clock)

4) Publish a disclaimer saying that your list is just a suggestion and that any gift would be great!

I realize this may take out the element of surprise on Christmas morn, but believe me, I will be just as joyful and grateful! Anyone have any other tips to technological giving? Comments?
